Dr. Maier has studied various forms of ballroom and social dancing since 1996. His experience as a dancer and teacher, combined with his extensive knowledge of body movement, makes Dr. Maier uniquely qualified to work with people with Parkinson’s and other movement disorders. He currently teaches a therapy dance class in partnership with the American Parkinson’s Disease Association.

Hanna Pierce started her dance training at the School of Midland Festival Ballet. She has, over the years, attended many summer intensives on scholarship such as Milwaukee Ballet, Orlando Ballet, Glenda Brown Choreography Project, Oklahoma City Ballet and Burklyn Ballet Theater. After graduation, she was accepted into the Alonzo King LINES training program where she worked with some of the top choreographers/companies in the world. She has been teaching at Convergence since 2017 and began her Gyrotonic teacher training at that time. She is now waiting for her final level 1 certification, postponed due to the current COVID situation. Hanna has also started competing in the Professional Open International Latin Division in 2020. Through Convergence, she has had the opportunity to perform at many of Saint Louis's finest venues.
