Matias is a dancer from tango’s new generation with 20 years of experience dancing, performing, and teaching. He is recognized for dancing professionally in both roles. In 2012, he reached the semifinals as the first man to compete in the world championship of tango dancing as a follower.During the last 10 years, he has taught extensively throughout Asia, and more recently touring all over the US.
On July 11 – 21 he will be joining us for a special workshop series.

The evening will begin with an adventuring into the culture of Argentine Tango. The sensuality, the spontaneity, and the romance of it is a perfedct way to celebrate Valentines Day! The couples only class is an introduction to Argentine Tango, designed for new dancers, from 7 to 8pm followed by an open masquerade ball (our nod to Fat Tuesday being 3 days later). Masks are not required for the Tango Ball but encouraged! Make sure if you wear one that it will work for dancing!! .
