CROSS TRAINING FOR HEALTH

Convergence founded its company on the idea that cross-training fitness and dance was the best way to become a strong dancer and healthier person. We have a broad array of classes (below).

Gyrokinesis & Gyrotonic

The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® is composed of the GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® exercise methods.   The GYROTONIC® Method uses specialized equipment that permits one to move with support and resistance.

GYROTONIC® exercise sequences are intended to increase the functional capacity of the entire body in a harmonious way. This method also embraces the key principles found in swimming, dance, yoga, tai chi and gymnastics, and emphasizes continuous, flowing movements, synchronized with corresponding breath patterns.

Yoga

We are currently organizing this class with an instructor and hope to announce this class in early January.

Yamuna Body Rolling

Body Rolling fitness works the way a hands-on practitioner works – only using a ball. The ball helps to stretch your muscles, dislodge tension and discomfort, increase blood flow and promote healing. Body rolling is the perfect compliment to your Pilates, yoga and fitness routines.  Using revolutionary techniques and special body rolling balls, you’ll work muscles you didn’t even know you had while increasing your overall circulation, freeing up muscle restrictions, improving range of motion, flexibility, and posture and developing core strength.

Floore Barre

Floor-Barre combines basic ballet technique with Yoga and Pilates to create a strengthening core centered class. Please bring a mat if you have one.  Dress comfortably in loose clothes or yoga pants, no shoes are needed.
